A member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Tope Olayonu has said that Nigerian can learn from Israel’s rich Agricultural development.
The Legislator who disclosed this in Israel at the ongoing 2015 Christian pilgrimage exercise stated that
pilgrimage provides great opportunity for pilgrims to come closer to God.
According to him, pilgrimage also offers the platform to pray for peace, progress and unity of the country.
Olayonu explained that there are lots
of experiences Nigerians can learn from Israel as a nation such as its
rich agricultural development.
He said the spiritual content of pilgrimage is great.
According to the House of Reps member representing Ifeledun /Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency of Kwara State in the House, one is blessed
spiritually and physically after the completion of every pilgrimage
exercise.
He stated that the National Assembly would encourage legislation that would support self-sponsorship and government sponsorship of Pilgrims to the Holy Land.
Hon. Olayonu commended the
effective organisation put in place in Israel by the Nigerian
Christian Pilgrim Commission which made the exercise spiritually
fulfilling and impactful.
