The resurgence of armed robbery in Lagos has continued unabated with Tuesday’s armed robbery attacks on Diamond, Finbank and Access banks in Festac area of Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State.
Nigerianfranknew.com learnt that the armed robbers stormed the banks through the canal around Fourth Avenue Festac in speed boats, dressed in Military camouflage and blew up the security doors of Diamond, Finbank and Access banks and carted away huge amount of money.
The robbers who scarred people away with sporadic gunshots, gained entrance into the premises of the banks unchallenged.
In the process a mother and her two year old daughter were killed in the raid by stray bullets, while scores were injured.
Residents of the area stated that the Police came only when the bandits had left the area.
