57 year old man dies aboard Arik Owerri flight
A 57 year old man, Albert Nnadi died yesterday aboard an Arik Air flight from Owerri to Lagos.
The passenger who was found when others passengers were disembarking from the flight at the Murtala Muhammed Domestic Airport Terminal 1 ,Lagos was said to have been accompanied by one of his relatives identified as Damien Nwachkwu.
He was said to be on his way to Lagos to seek medical assistance on obesity.
It was gathered that the corpse was rejected at morgue of Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH because it was too large for any of the compartments to take and was later transferred to Lagos General Hospital where it got a space..
A statement by Adebanji Ola, Arik’s spokesperson while confirming the incident, explained that a middle-aged man aboard Arik Air’s Owerri-Lagos flight was yesterday afternoon confirmed dead by doctors on arrival at the Lagos Airport.
According to Adebanji, “the passenger boarded the flight from Owerri in the company of a relative. He started showing signs of uneasiness midway into the flight.
The body of the man has been deposited in the mortuary by the Police while investigation into the immediate cause of death is ongoing.”
