He urged Christian Pilgrims to be good Ambassadors of Nigeria and always exhibit utmost good behaviors and mannerisms both within and outside the shores of Nigeria, in order to portray the country in good light to outsiders.
Tambuwal commended his guests for coming to sensitize Sokoto citizens on the programmes of the Commission of which they could be beneficiaries of. He assured his support for pilgrimage and promised to ensure that Christians in the State benefit from the pilgrimage programmes of the Commission.
He affirmed that God has restored peace to the country through President Buhari’s administration and urged Nigerians to support the present administration to ensure that the country enjoys constant peace. Mr. Opara reinstated that the Commission runs four pilgrimages in one calendar year: Easter pilgrimage, Youth pilgrimage, Family pilgrimage and the main pilgrimage which takes place between October/December.
He stressed the need for government to partner with the commission in the area of Skills Acquisition which the Commission has embedded in all their pilgrimage programmes.
The NCPC Scribe stated that the Commission is working with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to encourage Christians who are financially buoyant to sponsor Christians who are spiritually rich, but materially poor on Holy pilgrimage.
