The hotel chains which include La Palms Royal Hotel, Ghana, Elmina Beach Hotel and Busua Beach Resort, all in Ghana used to be the toast of many Nigerian travellers with high spending power due to its class, esthetics and unique appeal. But gradually, the hotel management reclined in their marketing drive at wooing Nigeria visitors; this suddenly led to decline in the patronage as more Nigerians are now gradually transferring their love to the destination Dubai.
Having realized the decline and the relevance of Nigerian market, the management of Golden Beach Hotel has now repackaged and repositioned to take its Nigerian market share back by re-emphasising the repacked goodies the hotels have in offer for Nigerian clients when they visit Ghana.
Part of that aggressive marketing drive was the showing at the recently concluded Akwaaaba African Travel Market in Lagos, where the team from the hotels hosted the Nigerian travel Journalists to a cocktail to re-emphasise the new packages the hotels have introduced to win back its clients in Lagos, Abuja, Port-Harcourt and other cities across the country who always like to make the hotel their number one choice while in Ghana.
Speaking during the event, the President of the Nigerian Tour Operators, NATOP and Chairman of Remlords Car Hire Services and Tour, Mr. Nkereuweng Onung enjoined the management of the hotels not to rest on their oars and watch their market share slip off from their hands.
The chairman of Remlords explained that the management of the hotels believed that they have captured a substantial share of the Nigerian market and that made them to relax on their marketing drive, adding that this has led to a decline as those who keep bombarding the Nigerian markets with fantastic packages took away the share of the market from them.
He advised the team to be consistent in their marking drive through attendance of expos, exhibitions like Akwaaba and other to keep their product fresh in the minds of people and to constantly engage the tour operators in the marketing drive especially on products and packages on offer.
Presenting their new package to the Nigerian travel press, the two-man team from the hotel made up of a man and a lady disclosed that Golden beach hotels have repackaged and renovated their rooms so as to be in a better position to take good care of their Nigerian clients and others.
They disclosed that the hotel chains have nice holiday packages for their Nigerian clients which includes good Nigerian cuisine, packages for weeding, honey moon, birthday, retreats for companies, conferences, seminars and exhibitions among others.
