Ikpeazu heads to Supreme Court
.. As Otti of APGA wins at Appeal Court
The Abia state governor, Okezie Ikpeazu is said to be heading to the Supreme Court to challenge the victory of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA candidate Dr Alex Otti at the Appeal Court.
The Appeal Court while nullyfing the election of governor Ikpeazu of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP maintained that Mr. Otti, was the winner of the state gubernatorial election.
The court sitting in Owerri in its rulling on Thursday upheld the appeal of the former managing director of Diamond Bank Plc, and ordered that he should be sworn in as governor.
It would be recalled that Otti had previously lost at the state election petitions tribunal in November, but appealed against the judgement.
Meanwhile, Aba the commercial nerve centre of the state has remained calm following the Appeal Court judgement.
