Celebrities, influencers, trend setters storm Dubai Shopping Festival
As the 21st edition of the Dubai Shopping festival gets ready to unwrap its exceptional line-up of events and activities, Dubai is set to see a string of international celebrities and famous influencers adding to the glitz and glamour of the citywide celebration that runs from 1 January to 1 February.
Also not left out of the Dubai Shopping Festival are singers, stylists and social media influencers among others.
The new edition of Dubai Shopping Festival will witness a mix of international, regional and local celebrities, influencers and trendsetters promoting DSF to an international audience and expanding the reach of Dubai as an international shopping destination.
Over 40 such personalities will be visiting Dubai during the 32 days of DSF and their presence will further elevate the overall experience of local residents and tourists at DSF’s citywide activations, exhibitions and attractions.
The international figures from various spheres including music, fashion and beauty will be either making a special contribution, appearance or performing live on stage during DSF, as they showcase their own brands and step up the excitement at the festival that features over 150 events and activities built around the tagline “Unwrap The Exceptional.”
Among those who will be in Dubai during DSF are international personality, Lilly Ghalichi, a lawyer turned American reality TV star, entrepreneur and designer, renowned Indian stylist, entrepreneur and actress, Pernia Qureshi – known for working with Harper’s Bazaar, Elle and Conde Nast as a stylist in both New York and New Delhi, and celebrated Omani actress, Buthaina Al Raisi.
Hrush Achemyan, the celebrity make-up artist and American model and Bollywood actress Nargis Fakhri, who is well known for her appearance on America’s Next Top Model are among the many influencers and beauty stars who will be in Dubai during DSF.
Dubai Shopping Festival will also have lots of entertainment for local residents and tourists, with international singing sensation Tina Arena performing classics from her 25 year long career. Widely known comedian, Russell Peters, will also be in Dubai to perform his best comedic routines from his ‘Almost Famous World Tour’. Bollywood stars Shan and KK will also be coming to Dubai during this period to perform a fantastic set of songs along with dancers and a live orchestra.
Roja Dove, the world class fragrance specialist from the UK, will be coming to Dubai as a guest to talk about the importance of fragrances and perfumes, as well as discuss how to mix and pick ingredients that will be of tremendous benefit to connoisseurs of perfumes.
Three hugely popular stylish celebrities will also be making their way to Dubai during DSF 2016 – Jamaican American singer, OMI, well known for his hit song ‘Cheerleader’ and Hula Hoop’; Tanzanian YouTube star and ‘Instagramer’ Maya Mia and UAE socialite and entrepreneur in her own right, Mona Kattan.
Many more celebrities, influencers and opinion makers from across the world are set to become inspirational sources for the festival as they travel to Dubai to see for themselves first hand the largest shopping festival of its kind in the world, and experience the fantastic atmosphere that makes this the best time of the year to be in the emirate.
