The managing director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, Engr Saleh Dunoma has advised the management of Turkish Airlines to resolve the recurrent cases of arriving passengers without their luggage once and for all, following the latest occurrence on Saturday January 9th at 12.35am.
Dunoma described as unacceptable, the re- occurrence barely two weeks after a similar incident led to a breach of airport security by Turkish Airlines that arrived the Abuja Airport without passengers luggage again.
Dunoma who stated this at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja expressed the Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika’s displeasure to the the management of Turkish Airlines on the re- occurrence .
He called for quick and lasting resolution of this unwholesome act capable of disrupting the peace and harmony of the airport .
FAAN boss however appealed to passengers to remain calm and law abiding as the Authority is making frantic efforts to find a lasting solution and safeguard their rights.
It will be recalled that Turkish Airlines few weeks ago arrived the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja without the passengers luggage which led to invasion of the tamac by the aggrieved passengers to stop the airline from taken off.
Barely few days after paying compensation to the aggrieved passengers on that default, the airline has once again repeated the same act which resulted in the suspension of top managers of the airport over the breach by the passengers.
