How Zenith Bank brokered $125m deal for Jonathan’s re-election on behalf Of Dan Etete
Investigations have revealed how the sum of $125Million was collected from Dan Etete, former pertoluem minister by a former managing director of Zenith Bank and Alhaji Auwalu Abdullahi Rano, an oil magnate with the pretence of forwarding it to Goodluck Jonathan.
It was gathered that towards the 2015 Presidential election, Dan Etete was approached by some big shot in the country to contribute to the re-election bid of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
In the process, Dan Etete made various contributions running into $125million to support the re-election of Goodluck Jonathan.
Swift Reporters investigations revealed that a former managing director of Zenith Bank and an oil magnet, Alhaji Auwalu Abdullahi Rano collected that sum from Dan Etete with the pretence of forwarding it to former President Goodluck Jonathan towards his re-election.
Investigations further revealed that Zenith Bank PLC through her former managing director, who is a close associate of former President Goodluck Jonathan, played a major role in the re-election deal as Zenith Bank was used to move massively the $125million; disobeying CBN Rules and Regulations on bank tranfers.
For now, things seem not to be well with the former Nigeria’s Petroleum Minister of Petroleum, Dan Etete.
who is demanding for his refund.
Swift Reporters also gathered that Former President Goodluck Jonathan has denied ever receiving such money which has prompted Dan Etete to seek refund.
