NATOP re-elects Nkereuwem Onung of Remlords Tours as President
The Nigeria Association of Tour Operators, NATOP has re-elected Mr. Nkereuwem Onung of Remlords Tours, as the President of the Association.
Mr. Onung was re-elected at the Annual General Meeting, AGM of the body in Calabar, the Cross River State capital so as to continue piloting the affairs of body.
Mr. Onung no doubt has done well as the president of NATOP by repositioning the body as a vibrant Association of repute.
Other members of the executive elected include the Vice President – Mr. Muyiwa Salami of Dvine Tour Brokers, general secretary – Ime Udo, chief executive officer of Leadway Tours, Treasurer – Bolaji Mustapha, chief executive officer of GET CENTRE.
The Ex – officio members include: Mr. Ikechi Uko (Akwaaba/ATQ Tours), Mrs Fatima Garbati(Speed Tours) and Abiodun Sanni (Tourways International), Chinyere Umuasiegbu (Globallinks Travels) and Ladi Jemi – Alade.
The AGM which was held at the Tracscorp Hotel Calabar with the theme, “Nigeria Tourism: The missing link in a diversified economy attracted notable personalities like Professor Pat Utomi, who was the key note speaker, minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Muhammed who was represented, the Cross River State Governor, Senator professor Ben Ayade who was also represented, the director general of National Council of Arts and Culture, NCAC’s, Mrs. Dayo Keshi , the commissioner of tourism Plateau State, Mr. Peter John Mwankon, the chairman of the Cross River State carnival commission, Mr Gabe Onah, the president of the Federation of Tourisn Associations of Nigeria, FTAN, Mr Tomi Akingbogun, the and other dignataries.
On hand to spice up the event were the beautiful dancers from the carnival Calabar band who made the occasion a memorable event with their fantastic performance.
