Niger State Pilgrims participating in the 2016 Easter Pilgrimage have been undergoing basic leadership training which is aimed at creating values and ideas for the transformation of the country.
The Principal Facilitator with the Institute of National Transformation, Pastor Olumide Olugbenle while teaching on “the principle of Leadership”, told the Pilgrims that the change Nigerians are clamoring for can happen if they could change their attitudes which encourage laziness and lack of creativity.
Pastor Olugbenle who focused on the theme: “raising value based no excuse leaders” encouraged the pilgrims to emulate from the State of Israel which he noted that their success is hinged on discipline, innovation and investment in technology. 
Taking his lessons from the story of creation in Genesis, Pastor Olugbenle averred that God while creating the world, kept working until everything was good and beautiful. He encouraged the pilgrims to embrace hard work and shun excuses and procrastination. 
The pilgrims toured some farms where they learnt some basic rudiments and skills of Israeli productive agriculture.
The leadership and skill acquisition programme introduced by the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) last year, is aimed at equipping Christian Pilgrims with skills which would enable them to become independent, especially now that the country is facing economic challenges.
100 Pilgrims from Niger State are participating in the Leadership and Skill Acquisition Training.
