Eyiowuawi emerges PPN National chairman
Hon Razak Eyiowuawi has emerged as the new national chairman of the
Peoples Party of Nigeria (PPN) in a keenly contested election held at
the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
Eyiowuawi, a former national secretary of the party defeated the
party’s presidential candidate in the 2015 general election Prince
Kelvin Allagoa by 32 votes to nine.
In his acceptance speech, the former Chairman of the party in Ogun
State , who was also a former National Vice President of National
Councillors forum of Nigeria thanked the party members for the trust
reposed in him and promise not to betray their trust.
The election was witnessed by representatives of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Police, operatives of Department of State Security Services and other security agencies.
Similarly, Alhaji Sadauna Abubakar Bello was elected as the new
secretary of the party. The new scribe defeated the other two
candidates for the posts, Hon Ali Omah and Bakare Akin who polled
eight and three votes respectively while Bello garnered 30 votes.
