Canadian Prime Minister chooses Seychelles as honeymoon destination
The island country of Seychelles is gradually becoming a destination of choice for honeymoon and getaways for the high and mighty, as the Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau has chosen the country as his honeymoon destination.
Seychelles is known to be one of the most renowned honeymoon destinations.
Set in the middle of the Indian Ocean, surrounded by clear turquoise blue seas, the islands are the perfect spots for newlyweds.
Many celebrities and top political leaders have chosen to escape to Seychelles after their weddings and among them have been the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin to name but a few.
Both the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin chose the stunning North Island for their romantic getaway.
Fregate Island Private has also been a favourite honeymoon destination for many celebrity couples and among them were Ronan Keating and wife Storm Uechtritz.
This year it was the Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau who chose to take his wife Sophie Grégoire-Trudeau to Seychelles on their honeymoon.
Prime Minister Trudeau was appointed late last year after the Liberal Party’s victory in the country’s general elections.
His father, the late Pierre Trudeau was a friend of Sir James Mancham, the founding President of Seychelles.
In a recent letter to former President Mancham, Prime Minister Trudeau has promised to return to Seychelles again.
