Barely two days after the first set of about 256 Nigerians were evacuated from the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday, British Airways on Friday evacuated the second batch of about 253 Nigerian from the United Kingdom. The evacuation of Nigerians from the UK was also followed by the repatriation of about 258 Britons and 34 crew members from the country by the same aircraft. The Supreme Court has dismissed the judgement that convicted and sentenced the former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor-Kalu, to 12 years imprisonment.
