Covid 19: BA evacuates 253 Nigerians from UK, 215 Britons back
Barely two days after the first set of about 256 Nigerians were evacuated from the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday, British Airways on Friday evacuated the second batch of about 253 Nigerian from the United Kingdom.
The evacuation of Nigerians from the UK was also followed by the repatriation of about 258 Britons and 34 crew members from the country by the same aircraft.
The British Airways flight with registration no G-CIVO landed at 1345hrs at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport.
This is coming as more Nigerian are expected to be evacuated from China, India, USA, London among other countries.
According to the minister of foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, many Nigerians from different countries have indicated interest to be evacuated to Nigeria at their own cost.
