$85.8m debt: Court Strike out Seplat’s application to upturn Mareva Order 

A Lagos Federal High Court, today, struck out an application filed by an oil company, Seplat Petroleum Development Company, seeking to varied an order of mareva injunction freezing its account and sealing its offices. Court sentences drug baron to 10 years imprisonment

A drug baron, Mr. Ejiofor Eliezer, has been convicted and sentenced to 10 years imprisonment, for smuggling 2.155 kilogrammes of cocaine to Nigeria, by a Lagos Federal High Court.  Justice Rilwan Aikawa, who presided over the court, convicted and sentenced the drug baron, after pronouncing him guilty of one count charge of unlawful importation of the said drug, made against him by the men of National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
