Late mother of NCPC boss for burial 19th Feb, as Gov. Lalong commiserates with family
The Executive Secretary, Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC, Rev. Dr. Yakubu Pam has disclosed that the body of his late mother, Ngo Zimi Pam would be committed to mother earth on 19th February,2022.
This development is coming just as Governor of Plateau State, Rt Hon Simon Lalong has condoled with the Executive Secretary of the NCPC over the demise of her mother, Ngo Zimi Pam who passed on to glory on 15th January, 2022 at the Jos University Teaching Hospital, JUTH.
Rev. Dr. Pam made the disclosure on 26th January, 2022 in his residence in Abuja, while playing host to the Director of Communications, Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja, Rev.Fr. Patrick Alumuku who paid him a condolence visit over the loss of his mother on 15th January, 2022 at the University of Jos Teaching Hospital, JUTH after a protracted illness.
Rev. Pam said that the death of his mother was very painful because according to him,” I have been paying condolences to people, I know the importance of paying condolences, but I did not know how painful it is to lose one’s mother”.
He affirmed that he so much cherished and appreciates the words of comfort by sympathisers who had been paying him condolences since the demise of her mother.
He described Rev. Alumuku as a wonderful friend of the Commission. His words,” you have been promoting our activities locally and internationally through the Catholic Television.Indeed we are most grateful to have such coverage from you,” he said.
The NCPC boss noted that the Catholic church is more of a family to him and that the Commission and the Catholic church have a lot to do together .
He thanked him for finding time to pay him a condolence visit despite his busy schedules .
Earlier, Rev. Fr. Patrick Alumuku said he was in the house to show his brotherly love to the NCPC boss over the call to glory of her late mother.
He reiterated that he and the NCPC Scribe were part and parcel of one family.
The Cleric prayed that the Lord would comfort the family and grant the soul of late Ngo Zimi Pam eternal rest.

The Governor who was represented by the Deputy Governor of Plateau State, Prof Sonni Tyoden, arrived the residence of the NCPC boss at Rayfield Jos at about 2pm on Sunday, 23rd January, 2022 accompanied by some of the Commissioners .
The deputy governor said he was at the residence of the NCPC boss on behalf of the Executive Governor of Plateau State to sympathize with him on his loss.
In his condolence message he affirmed,” as a man of God, you are fully conversant with the fact that it is God that gives and take life”.
He further noted that they were proud of the good life the late Ngo Zimi Pam lived which is evident with the legacy she left behind in the person of the Executive Secretary of NCPC whom he said is a shining light both within and outside the country.
Prof Tyoden added,” we cannot question God, we have to appreciate him in all circumstances”, he said.
He prayed that God would comfort him and the entire family.
In his response, the NCPC helmsman thanked the government of Plateau State for their love and concern shown to the family in this moment of their bereavement.
Rev Pam stressed that the first condolence message he received was from Governor Simon Lalong and that strengthened him.
He described the Governor as a very proactive leader who identifies with his people especially in their moment of need.
He prayed that the Lord would grant him success in leadership.
The NCPC Scribe also commended the Deputy Governor for his support and loyalty to the Governor of Plateau State.
He prayed that God would remember him and reward him in due season.
He hinted that the burial of her late mother would likely be in third week of next month.
