Organizers of Nigeria Aviacargo Conference postpones event to August 22nd
The organizers of the 4th Nigerian Aviacargo Conference,
the premier cargo conference in West Africa has announced the postponement of the event initially scheduled to hold on August 1st, 2024, at the Marriott Hotel Ikeja GRA, Lagos.
A statement by Mr Ikechi Uko, the organiser of the cargo conference noted that due to prevailing circumstances in the country, the conference has been rescheduled to August 22nd, 2024.
He explained that the decision to postpone the event has been taken with the utmost consideration for the safety of its esteemed participants and international guests.
Uko said : ” We prioritize the well-being of all attendees and do not wish for anyone to be caught in any unforeseen circumstances. The 4th Aviacargo Conference will feature a distinguished lineup of speakers, including:
* Christophe Pennick, Managing Director of Asaba Airport, who will speak on “The Role of the Private Sector in the Development of Airports and Aviation in Nigeria: The Asaba Airport Story.”
* George Uriesi, Chief Operating Officer of Ibom Air, presenting on “Creating a Synergy Between Airport and Airline in Developing Air Cargo.”
* Remi Jibodu, Acting Chief Operating Officer of Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited, sharing insights on his extensive experience in the aviation sector.
* Dr. Daniel Mckorley, Executive Chairman of McDan Group, who will bring his wealth of knowledge to bear on various aspects of the industry.
* Frank Ogunojemite, National President of Africa Association of Professional Freight Forwarders and Logistics of Nigeria (APFFLON), discussing “The Challenges of Export at Nigeria Airports.”
He stated that these industry leaders, along with other chief executives from aviation, insurance, logistics, and agro-export sectors, will offer invaluable perspectives on advancing Nigeria’s cargo sector.
Additionally, representatives from key government agencies such as NAFDAC, NEPC, SON, Nigeria Customs Service, and Quarantine Services will be present to share their expertise and experiences.
