ANJET honours NATOP BOT chairman, Onung with 2020 Tourism Award

The Association of Nigerian Journalists and Writers of Tourism, ANJET, has honoured the chairman, Board of Trustees of the Nigerian Association of Tour Operators, NATOP, and First Deputy President of Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria, FTAN. Mr. Nkereuwem Onung with its 2020 tourism Award.

Mr Onung who is also the chairman of Remlords Tours and Car Hire Services was honoured at tourism writers 2020 seminar held at Citi Height Hotel Opebi Ikeja Lagos on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, for his contribution to the growth and development of tourism in Nigeria and also for his continuous support for the Association.

Receiving the award on behalf of Mr Onung, the chief executive officer of Akwaaba African Travel Market, Ambassador Ikechi Uko thanked ANJET for the honour done to the BOT chairman of NATOP.

The seminar which was a live event since the easing of the COVID-19 lockdown with the theme: ‘“Tourism and Rural Development” with Sub-theme: “Post Covid-19: Recovery strategies for the tourism and hospitality sector in Nigeria” attracted various players, top government officials and stakeholders in the tourism sector to discuss challenges and opportunities in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic which affected travel and tourism around the world.
