Appeal Court Judgement : Wike heads to Supreme Court‎

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has stated his resolve to pursue
the governorship election to the Supreme Court after loosing the appeal on the matter.
Governor Wike instructed his lawyers to appeal the judgment of the Court of Appeal which ordered fresh governorship election in the State.‎
The court of Appeal sitting in Abuja Wednesday upheld the High Court Judgement sacking Governor Wike.
In a statement issued by the ‎special assistant to the Rivers State Governor on Electronic Media, ‎ Simeon Nwakaudu, Governor Wike said ‎would exhaust his constitutional right by challenging the Appeal Court judgment at the Supreme Court‎
‎
‎He called on all his supporters and the people of Rivers State to remain calm, saying justice will be done at the end of day.

Wike ‎ assured the people of the state that he would use all constitutional processes to protect the mandate they freely gave him.

‎The governor said he remained the duly elected governor of Rivers State pending the determination of his appeal by the Supreme Court.

‎All ongoing development projects would continue as the state government will continue to promote the security of lives and property across the state, ‎ Wike assured .‎
