ATPN rebrands, to hold elective AGM in November

The oldest multi sectorial cultural tourism trade body in Nigeria, Association of Tourism Practitioners of Nigeria ( ATPN), has announced November 19th, 2024, as the official date for its National Elective General Meeting slated for Abuja.

The meeting will be preceded by a workshop with the theme ” Tourism is life” and will also evaluate selected sub themes On “Peace and Community safety”and the “Structure of the Nigerian Blue Economy”.

According to the Chairman, ATPN AGM 2024 planning committee, Mr Andrew Ehanire, the interface between practitioners and policy experts is to advantage new thinking and templates for community tourism development and promotion.

A statement signed by Mr. Frank Meke, Chairman, Media and Publicity sub Committee of the body said all national zonal officers are encouraged to advise their members, including stakeholders, to register for the AGM through a dedicated ATPN digital portal.

Meke stated that a list of ATPN ambassadors will be unveiled during the meeting, including the National Youth Service Corp tourism kit, specifically designed to integrate and connect Nigerian youths to the benefits of cultural tourism business opportunities and values.

He disclosed that the venue of the Elective Annual General Meeting is the Abuja Capital Klub and Apartments, Asokoro, Abuja.
