The management of Sheraton Hotel, Lagos has dismissed the rumours making the rounds that the hotel is now being used as isolation centre by the expatriates in Lagos as one floor is currently full .
A statement signed by Nanji Tyem, multi property director of communications Sheraton – Nigeria and made available to Nigerian Franknews said the hotel has only a single guest who is currently self-isolating in the hotel, well away from others, and using its no-contact protocols.
“We have a single guest who is currently self-isolating in the hotel, well away from others, and using our no-contact protocols.
“We have notified the local authorities and are following their guidance.
The safety and well-being of our guests and employees is of paramount importance to us, ” Nanji said.
She stated further that the hotel has stringent cleaning protocols throughout and continue to follow the recommendations of the World Health Organization and local health authorities.
Nanji concluded the statement that: “The hotel remains operational and is welcoming guests”.
