Ethiopian Airlines orders 14 A- A350 XWB aircraft

Ethiopian Airlines has ordered 14 of the latest Airbus A350 XWB aircraft.

The order of the 14 aircraft will help to consolidate the position of Ethiopian as the leading airline not only in Africa but in world.

This was disclosed by the general manager of Ethiopian Airlines in Nigeria, Solomon Bengashaw at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos while receiving the latest Aircraft in Africa, the A-350 XWB aircraft in Lagos.

Bengashaw noted that the airline will continue receiving the remaining 13 aircraft soon, thereby raising the number of Airbus aircraft in the fleet and ensuring extra comfort of the passengers.

He said the A350 XWB’s innovative technology also improves performance in operation as its revolutionary airframe and simplified systems have optimized fuel burn, maintenance costs and reliability, while its engines have the lowest carbon dioxide CO2 emissions of any in the wide body category.

“We have done our part by bringing the best to the Nigerian travel industry to ensure that travel business and tourism will flourish and also be catered by the most advanced and safety reliable equipment and what is left is for the Nigerian public is to join hands with us and for continuous enjoyment for the best is yet to come. Once again I thank you all for being here to welcome this biggest milestone achievement of African in the land of the giant of Africa, ” Bengashaw concluded.
