Ethiopian Airlines received unprecedented support, empathy from Nigerians -GM
The general manager of Ethiopian Airlines in Nigeria, Firihiewot Mekonnen has said that the support and empathy the airline has received from Nigeria and Nigerians is unprecedented.
Speaking at the 43rd Annual General Meeting, AGM of the National Association of Nigerian Travel Agencies, NANTA in Lagos today Wednesday, March 27, at the Muson Centre, Mekonnen noted that Nigeria has supported and encouraged the country and the airline all through this trying times.
She said that while the airline commiserate with Nigeria on the loss of their two eminent citizens among the crash victims, Ethiopian is grateful for the support received from Nigerians.
The GM said Ethiopian Airlines is still in business and has kept their full schedule of flying to over 120 cities globally with the most advanced aircraft and with very professional and experienced pilots.
Mekonnen explained that the airlines has very high safety standards with one of the biggest Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility in Africa and the best aviation training school in Africa.
She added that the Ethiopian is one of the few airlines in the world with simulators for almost all the aircraft it fly.
She said the airline has kept its promise of giving Africa the best by linking the continent to the World.

The GM assured that Ethiopian Airlines will continue to serve and defend Africa as it count on the support of all Africans.
She thanked NANTA and its members for always giving the airline the best.
She said that: “I am very excited that your Association a very Vibrant Association has continued to stand with us.
I thank NANTA and it’s very efficient Executives for the Wonderful job it has been doing in organising the Travel Business in Nigeria.
We have partnered with NANTA and we will keep Partnering with NANTA into the future.
“Personally, I thank the able President and his team who visited our Office to personally convey their condolences. It is well appreciated.”
