FAAN declares an unruly passenger persona non-grata for damaging boarding gate door at Abuja airport

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN, has declared an unruly passenger, OGHENEMINI OYIBO GREAT who damaged boarding gate door at Abuja airport persona non-grata.

FAAN said the OGHENEMINI OYIBO GREAT will no longer be allowed to fly out or into Abuja airport.

This is following the passenger’s arrest by oint team of security personnel.

The unruly passenger who was aggrieved over a delayed Air Peace flight to Benin forced the boarding gate door and damaged the lock at about 20:10hrs of 24th March , 2023.

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, FAAN in a statement signed by Mrs Faithful A. Hope-Ivbaze
Ag. GM Corporate Affairs said no major injury was sustained by the passengers and staff.

According to Mrs Faithful Hope-Ivbaze , “The suspect was arrested by a joint team of security personnel and brought to Crime Intelligence and Investigation Unit (CIIU)office of the Aviation Security.

He was interrogated and statement was taken from him.
The airport staff at the boarding gate witnessed the incident.
The suspect OGHENEMINI OYIBO GREAT with seat number 10c Air Peace Flight P47172 was transferred to the Airport Police Command on transfer form number 0387470 and was received by inspector Benson with force identification number 17289.
The airport wishes to declare him persona non-grata.
He will no longer be allowed to fly out or into Abuja airport”.
