The Federal Road Safety Corps Isolo Unit Command, Lagos has been making concerted efforts to ensure free flow of traffic and reduction of Road Traffic Crashes within her operational terrain.
This is coming just as the Unit Commander, CRC Uko O Uko with some members of his Management team and the State Provost Special Marshals visited the Palace of Osolo of Isolo to seek his support and attract royal blessings while executing their assignment.
The Unit Commander while stating his mission to the Oba expressed his delight for being in the Palace.
He used the medium to appreciate the Royal Father’s support to his predecessor and sought for more support while also seeking for his blessings.
In his reaction, the Osolo of Isolo assured the Unit Commander that he will support the Command at all times. He further assured him that as a law abiding citizen he ensures that his subjects obey the law at all times.
He prayed for a successful tenure for the Unit Commander.
The Unit Commander used the forum also to inform the Oba that he has observed areas with traffic gridlock within his domain and promised that the Command is properly positioned to nip it in the bud.
He informed the Royal Father that recently the Lagos Sector Commander FRSC allocated a power bike to Isolo Unit Command as a quick response facility whenever there’s a distress call to decongest traffic. He also noted that the Command in collaboration with the Special Marshals are properly positioned to combat traffic related issues during the yuletide.
The Unit Commander also visited the Executive Chairman Isolo LCDA, Hon. Olasoju Adebayo at his office.
He appreciated the Executive Chairman for providing a conducive environment for everyone to live and work while also thanking him for his continuous support to the Command. He sought for the assistance of the Council in logistics for operations.
The Chairman welcomed the Unit Commander and assured him that the Council will always be open to him at all times.
He furthers reiterated the commitment of his administration to the sensitization of the motoring public for proper road use.
The core mandate of FRSC is eradication of Road Traffic Crashes and to create safe motoring environment in Nigeria, a task which is enormous and cannot be easily achieved without collective participation and support from all and sundry.
Road Safety is a shared responsibility and the contributions and support of opinion leaders is pivotal to its attainment.
