NATOP BOT chairman lauds NANTA President on role in development of tourism

The chairman Board Of Trustees of Nigeria Association of Tour Operators, NATOP and deputy president, Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN), Mr Nkereuwem Onung has described Bankole Bernard as a strategic partner in the development of tourism in Nigeria

Speaking during a meeting with media friends, Mr Onung noted that tourism partners and professionals like Mr. Bankole Bernard should be celebrated and honoured.

” When I passed the baton to a lady after stabilizing NATOP, many people think I was dumb and stupid, but today, NANTA has taken same step, a feat worth the all important lesson to all Nigerians from all works of life that our women can be trusted leaders.

” I join Otunba Segun Runsewe, the director general of the National Council of Art and Culture, NCAC in celebrating Bankole Bernard for a very successful and impactful leadership of NANTA and for positioning a very hard working lady to lead NANTA,” he explained.

Onung prayed the federal government to look at the sterling leadership qualities of tourism professionals and get them to provide leadership in the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation, NTDC and other moribund and poor performing government tourism agencies.

” NANTA is very critical to the development of both the down stream aviation and tourism sectors and in hunting for egg heads, government should look the way of professionals who has made verifiable marks and give them opportunity to transform the industry, Onung added, nothing that NANTA under Bankole Bernard is a huge success and to know that he’s going to hand over to another hard working deputy who is a woman, gladdens my heart”.‎
