Nigerian -US  Chamber of Commerce  attracts investment worth  $2.5b

Professor of Communications at the Kent State University and Lorainne County Community College, Professor Primus Igboaka has disclosed that as the secretary of Nigerian United States Chamber of Commerce, the Chamber attracted 24 businesses with an investment value of $2.5billion into the country in recent years.‎
Speaking during a press briefing in Lagos, Professor Igboaka said the establishment of the Nigeria United States ‎Chamber of Commerce came about as a result of the wrong perception of Nigeria in the western media.
He said though the negative perception about the country is reducing, but more needs to be done ‎to correct the wrong perception.
He stated that the advocacy group which is on the Nigerian Embassy‎, United States Website has made tremendous impact in attracting trade and investment into the country.
Igboaka also urged the federal government to reduce the burden of sourcing for foreign exchange for Nigerian business owners.
He called for a change in harmonising and ‎reducing the burden involved in sourcing foreign exchange, adding that the government should create avenues for businesses to thrive.
The government should address issues and bottlenecks in doing business, there are lots of inconstitencies in government policies with the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN flip flop policies that are not consistent.
 The ‎Professor of Communications at the Kent State University and Lorainne County Community College lamented the poor  and epileptic  power situation in the country,  ‎warning that no meaningful progress can be made with the poor power generation.
