Magistrate Bola Folami-Williams (Mrs.) of an Ebute-metta Chief Magistate’s Court, Lagos, on Thursday, adjourned the trial of a self-acclaimed printer, Mubo Jones, 35, till December 1.
The accused was arraigned before the court on a count charge bordering on jumping the fence and entered the compound of one Engineer Ekudayo Olabode Longe.
At the arraignment of the accused, the prosecutor informed the court that the accused had on June 6, 2016, at about 12.25a.m, entered the compound of the complainant, situated at Plot 172, Green Street, Jakande Estate, Isolo Lagos.
The offence according to the prosecutor, Sergeant Kehinde Olatunde, is contrary to and punishable under section 306(2) of the Criminal Laws of Lagos of Nigeria, 2011.
The charge against the accused reads: “that you Mubo Jones, aged 35, on June 29, 2016, at about 12.30a.m., at 172A, Green Street, Jakande Estate, Isolo, Lagos, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable court, did jump through the fence and entered the compound of Engineer Ekudayo Olubode Longer, and thereby committed an offence contrary to section 306(2) of the Criminal Laws of Lagos, 2011.”
The accused had pleaded not guilty to the charge. And was accordingly admitted on bail by the court.
