The conseilliere regionale of Reunion Island, Faouzia Vitry and the cultural director of the island, Sophie Jasmin has met with minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles minister responsible for tourism and culture to discuss inter-island cooperation between the two countries.
The Reunion and Seychelles delegations also discussed the firming-up of a working program which is hope to be formalised in the coming weeks when President Didier Robert of Reunion accompanied by Mme Vitry will be in Seychelles with a working delegation.
Other areas of discussion at the meeting was tourism, culture and trade as well as air connectivity.
Mme Vitry and Mme Jasmin are the official representatives of Reunion Island at the 2016 edition of the Carnival International de Victoria.
Present at the meeting was the chief executive officer of the seychelles Tourism Board, Sherin Naiken.
Also present in Seychelles with a large cultural delegation is the island’s Conseillere Regionale, Lynda Lee Mow Sim.
