Outbreak of Coronavirus: NCAA calls for high level of vigilance by Airlines

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has put all Airline Operators, Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSP) and Aerodrome Operators on alert over the Outbreak of Coronavirus. A statement signed by the general manager public relations of NCAA, Mr Sam Adurogboye informed all aviation stakeholders to note that, the novel Coronavirus (2019-nCov) broke out in Wuhan City, Hubei Province in China recently. Following the suspension of Turkish Airlines operations into Nigeria, the airline has pledged to commence immediately freight of all left over passengers’ baggage in Turkey to Nigeria. Absence of complete perimeter fencing at Bayelsa Airport responsible for non certification

The Ag. director general of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) Capt. Abdullahi Sidi, has disclosed that absence of adequate perimeter fencing at the Bayelsa airport in Yenagoa prevented the regulatory authority from issuing it certification despite its inauguration about six months ago.
