NAMA tasks ICAO on ATSEP licensing, says it would enhance safety

The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) has charged the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to consider as a matter of urgency, the inclusion of Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel (ATSEP) licensing in its Annex1 to the Chicago Convention. NAAE calls for training of personnel in NAMA

The National Association of Air Traffic Engineers (NAAE) have called for the training of its personnel in the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) to enable them get licensed. The President of the NAAE Engr Ishaya Dung said a large number of Air Traffic Engineers engineers in NAMA were yet to be licensed as a result of lack of training associated with paucity of funds.
