Appeal Court affirms N5m judgement against First bank over extra-judicial killing

The Court of Appeal, Lagos division has affirmed the judgement of a Lagos high court, which ordered First bank Plc, to pay the sum of N5 million to a businesswoman, Ganiat Amope Dilly. Apart from dismissing the appeal, a 3-man-panel, which includes, Justice Obande Festus Ogbuinya, Justice Fatima Omoro Akinbami and Justice Fredrick Oziakpono Oho, also unanimously slammed a N100, 000 cost against First Bank Plc with for instituting the appeal. First Bank manager sent to Prison for stealing Bank’s  N52.6m

A customer relationship manager with the First Bank Plc Headquarters, Lagos, Kehinde Adewuyi, 36, has been remanded in prison over alleged stealing of N52.6 million form the bank. Adewuyi was sent to prison by an Igbosere Chief Magistrate’s Court, Lagos, after he was arraigned for allegedly fraudulently withdrawal of the sum of N52, 628, 000 from his employer’s account, which he later converted to his personal use.
