$1.6m, N50m judgement sum: Court dismisses Emirates Airlines’ application for stay of execution

Move by Emirates Airlines not to pay judgement sum of $1.630 million and N50 million awarded against it by a Lagos Federal High Court, for Unlawful conversation of a businessman’s money, met a brickwall, as the presiding judge, Justice Muslim Sule Hassan, dismissed the Airlines’ application for stay of execution of the judgment, for lacking in merit. EFCC arraigns vessel, 12 crew, over alleged illegal oil bunkering

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), today, arraigned a vessel, MT Mother Comfort, its owner, Azamosa Limited and its 12 crew, before a Federal High Court, Lagos, for unlawful and illegal dealing 240 metric tonnes of Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) popularly called diesel.
