The chief executive officer of Gani Tarzan Marine Enterprises Nigeria Limited, Mr. Ganiyu Tarzan Balogun has disclosed that its famous beach house will soon be renovated and re-branded with special ferry service to other beach recreation ground within and around Lagos.
Speaking at a recent media party in celebration of members of the Association of Nigerian Journalists and Writers of Tourism (ANJET) in Lagos, Tarzan Balogun stated that though 2017 was very tough for Tarzan group, it still managed to remain focused, putting in place new jetties and other operational facilities that helped both transport and out door water based recreation.
He lauded the federal government through the National Inland Waterways Authority, NIWA and the Lagos State Inland Waterways Authority, LASWA for creating the enabling environment for the growth of water transportation.
Tarzan stated that ANJET has contributed to the growth of his organisation on various fronts, particularly when they are faced with challenges of growth and in helping to explain its overall intentions and aspiration to the government.
In his words: “Indeed, the tourism media remains the only credible group that can help Nigeria and also all tourism operators to join hands to move tourism forward in Nigeria. Therefore, I salute your courage and tenacity in the face of avoidable challenges, particularly the seeming lack of support from the organised private sector”.
He promised that Tarzan will continue to work with ANJET at all times by remembering their invaluable support without any kind of expectation.
He noted that the calling of the tourism Journalists is an exemplary sacrificial service to mankind and tourism in particular.
Tarzan observed that 2017 was very tasking in a lot of ways for tourism business in Nigeria which was the same reporting the sector.
In his remarks, the president of ANJET, Andrew Okungbowa commended Tarzan Balogun for his kind gestures and support for the body.
He pledged the support of ANJET for Tarzan Marine Enterprises Nigeria Limited in his activities, including the promotion of the growth of leisure and water transportation in Lagos.
Speaking also, the organiser of Nigerian Travel Week, Efetobo Awhana applauded Tarzan for the quality of the event and for always appreciating the tourism Journalists for their contributions towards the growth of tourism in the country.
He stated that Nigeria is a beautiful country like most other countries people travel to spend their their money.

Awhana said the Nigeria Travel Week which debuted lasted year is part of the effort to promote the growth and development of tourism in Nigeria, adding that though it did not have all the resources for the programme, but it believed in the industry.
He disclosed that the Nigeria Travel Week was held towards the end of 2017 would be held earlier in the year.
The event featured a boat cruise around Lagos lagoon from Tarzan Jetty in Lekki to the Lagos State boat terminal in Ikorodu, Badurin, Ijede, Ikpakodo, Apapa area, Mile 2 and other places in Lagos.
The party was concluded with all round entertainment from Victoria Island and Lekki aboard the Tarzan big batch which sailed along the Lagos waterways as the party lasted.
The outing offered the journalists the opportunity to savour the beauty of Victoria Island and Lekki in the night as the big batch sailed along with the DJ’s and some upcoming musicians and entertainers holding ANJET members and other guests spell bound.
The high point of the event was the performance of two young ladies, one a second year student of Fine and applied Art of Yaba College of Technology, Victoria Ndubuisi and Blessing Okwute, a gymnast who added glitz and glamour to the party with their scintillating performance .
