25th LAAC Conference: FAAN wins Lateef Lawal Award for Airport Manager of the Year
Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has bagged the Prestigious Lateef Lawal Award for Airport Manager of the Year at the just concluded League of Airports and Aviation Correspondents (LAAC) 25th Conference with theme: Aviation in Nigeria: Management, Policy and Regulation.
Lateef Lawal was an Aviation Correspondent and founding member of the League whose exploits span over 40 years, he passed in 2020.
The award was received by the managing director represented by the director of Airport Operations, Captain Mukhar Muye who expressed gratitude on behalf of FAAN and stressed that the award meant a lot especially coming from the fourth estate.
He agreed that it was not Uhuru but that FAAN under the current management has been striving for perfection to change the narrative of the old.
He said that FAAN was improving the passenger facilitation process, as well as infrastructure of the old terminal while simultaneously trying to ensure the two new international terminals come on stream to give passengers an amazing new experience.
He also said that soon the country’s international airports will be a nexus of activities as government has declared the four international airports special economic zones, stressing that it comes with huge benefits and responsibilities.
