5 persons rescued alive in Lagos collapsed building
Five persons, including an elderly woman and a15 year old boy were among those rescued yesterday from the rubbles of a 3 storey building that collapsed at Odunfa street, Lagos Island.
The building which collapsed at about 10am left many people trapped under the rubble.
According to the South West spokesperson of the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, Mr. Ibrahim Farinloye, five persons have been rescued alive which include an elderly woman and a boy of about 15 years, while no death has been recorded as the search by the agencies continues.
Farinloye stated that some of the rescued victims were rushed to the Sura Health Centre on the Island for treatment.
